WEBINAR

Conflict in the Middle East: What Does It Mean for Us in Sydney?

The conflict in the Middle East is not distant from us in Sydney. It lives in our communities, our conversations, and our conscience. Many of us are carrying grief, confusion, and a deep longing for peace. Across faiths, backgrounds, and perspectives, we are asking the same questions: What does peace look like from here? Whose voices need to be heard? And what can we do to help build it, right now?In our first webinar, three witness speakers bring lived experience, embodied history, and deep commitment to peace and justice, in the Middle East and in our own city.

Together they explored what it meant to hold moral complexity, navigate grief and moral injury, and turn toward one another as a community committed to peace, here in Sydney, right now.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians on the land on which we gather and pay our respects to Elders both past and present. We honour their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture, and recognise sovereignty was never ceded.

In the spirit of peace and justice, we stand together as a community committed to listening, learning, and walking alongside one another in the journey toward healing and unity.
